Bhagavad Gita 8.16 Krsna indicates to Arjuna From the highest planet in the material world down to the lowest, all are places of misery wherein repeated birth and death take place. But one who attains to My abode, O son of Kuntī, never takes birth again.
Suppose we have a hired car for a day with us and need to go a long way to reach our destination. The more the time we spend in tarrying and sightseeing, the less are the chances that we will get to our goal before our time runs out. Isn’t life like that too?
We are souls and our body is like a hired car that we have for a limited period but we are busy in petty things. spending our time on things that don’t really matter – Working hard for temporary life ,facebook,TV, gossip, friends, daydreaming etc etc.
We dont realize every breath is a death breath ,Like it or not your heart beats 100,000 times 24 hour and one day one of those beats will be your last.Life is like vapor ,here for little while then gone.next birth is unguaranteed human body and so may not be suitable for making spiritual advancement.
A moment lost can not be bought back in exchange of millions of dollar. We focus on what’s most important for us and start truly living – living with intellectual clarity and spiritual integrity so that we may live forever.
